Designated Learning Institutions

To study in Canada, students must attend a designated learning institution (DLI). Consult the Government of Canada website to see if your institution is listed as a DLI before applying.

Levels of Study

Canada has a complex education system, including elementary, secondary and post-secondary education.

Acceptance Letter

Study permit applications require a letter of acceptance stating that a person has been accepted into a program of study.

Refusals and Appeals

If an application is missing information or does not meet the program requirements, the application will be refused. Some refusals, however, can be appealed.
